Not sure if it is reliable? Another source gives William as the father of George. Some sources give George's nephew Alexander as born in Scotland, and other sources Wales. There is clearly not much certainty about the origins of this family at this stage. The Welsh family seems to have been mobile, with connections to London, so it is not as implausible as it might seem at first glance. ( There was a famous martyr by the name of George Marsh, martyred 1555, who was born in Deane, Lancaster, England, who also lived at London. In view of the name George, and the fact that the brother of George below was possibly executed for religious convictions, it might make a connection of George of Hingham to the George Marsh martyr something to explore.) 2) ..........?
